Royal Worcester Gilt Cabinet Plate, 1930

Royal Worcester cabinet plate, featuring a rich gilt design on an ivory ground. The gilding to the floral border is thick and stands proud of the surface. It would have taken many applications to get this finish. The pattern number is 3145. The early puce backstamp dates the plate to 1930. The plate is approximately 21cm (8.25') square. The plate is in excellent condition ... no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. There is some wear to the gilding round the inner rim circle, and a few surface knife marks from use.
