Antique Victorian silver foliate embossed spoon
product code: 14J041
Antique Victorian silver serving/table spoon. Perhaps unusually, there is no sign that this spoon was ever gilded. The bowl of the spoon features an embossed foliate design. The front of the handle is further embellished with scroll and foliate design, and there is a blank cartouche. The spoon is fully hallmarked for London, 1844 and the Victoria duty mark. The maker's mark is too rubbed to decipher. All other marks are clear. The spoon bowl measures 5 cm (2') by 8 cm (3'). The overall length is 22.5 cm (8.9'). It weighs 63g. All measurements are approximate. The spoon is in very good condition. Please study all photos as these form an important part of the description.
