This silver thimble has plain sides on a gear/cog lip, and dot pattern to the top design. It is made from a thick gauge of silver. The thimble has a full set of hallmark. The lion passant and date letter are clear. The town mark for Sheffield is just discernable … the town mark and marker's mark are very deeply punched which makes their reading difficult/impossible. The thimble stands 2.4 cm (1') tall and has an opening diameter of 2 cm (.8'). It weighs 7 grams. All measurements are approximate. The thimble is in very good condition.
