Julie Lightburn: Globe flowersproduct code: jl-073
Original acrylic painting by York artist Julie Lightburn.
“This painting is an archetypal scene of the Yorkshire Dales with the stone barn and the fields full of yellow Globe flowers. Many meadows in the dales have a stone barn, used to store the hay produced in the surrounding meadow with and a separate area for wintering cows in stalls. Today a few barns are still used to store hay; hardly any are still used to house stock.” … Julie
The picture is framed in a glazed frame.
The framed picture measures 16.9 cm by 16.9 cm … the actual visible picture is 10.2 cm by 9.7 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Julie is a self-taught artist who is known for her detailed paintings of Yorkshire landscapes - heather clad hills, distant dales, sandy beaches, secret gardens and city corners.
