The "Deux Chevres" ("Two goats") paperweight was designed by René Lalique in 1936, though it was originally a cigarette box cover. It, the lid, was later released as a paperweight/desk ornament. This paperweight is of recent manufacture.
The base is engraved "Lalique ® France".
The paperweight measures approximately 25.3 cm wide by 7 cm deep and stands 8.8 cm tall.
The paperweight is in excellent condition. The bases show minimal wear as three of the original four felt pads are still in place. There is no original packaging.Please see photos as these form an important part of the description.
