Valerie Bell
Valerie studied Art and Design at college in York and was awarded a Certificate of Higher Education in Visual studies from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside.
Valerie’s main inspirations are the Yorkshire Moors in different seasons, Northumberland, the west of Scotland, and the Wild Atlantic Way of West Cork in the Republic of Ireland which she visits annually.
Valerie uses several different media including watercolours, oils, acrylics and pastels - sometimes with mixed media – to capture the atmosphere of her chosen subjects in a contemporary way.
Valerie has exhibited her work at galleries in Hull, York and Scarborough, as part of group exhibitions in and around York, and in joint exhibitions with her husband Richard at National Trust properties.
